List of hotels in New York City
The following is a list of some notable hotels in New York City.
Number of hotels
[edit]Most of the hotels are represented by the Hotel Association of New York City trade organization. As of 2016, the organization had 270 members, representing 75,000 rooms and 50,000 employees.[1] Private hotels, such as the Yale Club, are members of the group.
More than half the hotels (114) are in Midtown Manhattan with 75 on the west side (most in the Times Square area) and 39 on the Midtown East Side.[2] The city tourist list does not include single room occupancy hotels.

Potential future casino hotels
[edit]In late 2025, three casino licenses for Downstate New York will be awarded. Depending on which bidders win, large new casino hotels, often referred to as integrated resorts could be built in New York City. [6]
Manhattan
[edit]In Manhattan there are four proposals for casino hotel. Wynn Resorts is proposing to build an 80 story integrated resort at the Hudson Yards which would feature 1,750 rooms. Not far from the Hudson Yards, Silverstein Properties has proposed a 1,000 room casino hotel. At Times Square, Caesars Entertainment is proposing to covert One Astor Plaza into a 950 room integrated resort. Along the East River, Soloviev Group has proposed a 1,200 casino hotel near the United Nations Headquarters.
Queens
[edit]In Queens, there are two proposals for large casino hotels. Hard Rock International has proposed a 2,300 room integrated resort next to Citi Field at Flushing Meadow-Corona Park. If built, it would become the largest hotel in New York City. In South Ozone Park, Genting Group has proposed expanding Resorts World New York City into a 2,000 room integrated resort, which could also become the largest hotel in the city.[7]
Brooklyn
[edit]In Brooklyn, a 32-story hotel casino with 500 rooms in Coney Island has been proposed by Thor Equities, Legends Hospitality, Saratoga Casino Holdings, and the Chickasaw Nation. [8][9][10]
Bronx
[edit]In the Bronx, Bally's Corporation is looking to build a casino hotel that features 500 rooms. The hotel would be located at the golf course they operate at near Ferry Point Park in Throggs Neck. [11]
